The Health Clerk is available in the health office during the school day from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.; the attendance staff covers the rest of the time.  She works closely with the school nurse who oversees the services in the health office.

When class is in session, students are required to have a pass to come to the Health Office.  There are exceptions as in an emergency.  Parents will be called if a student is obviously ill or hurt. 

Parents are requested to notify the school to update the emergency card whenever phone numbers or contract persons have been changed. 

Students needing to take medication during school hours must have the following:

1. Medication form completed and signed by the parent and doctor. 

2. Medication must be in a pharmacy-dispensed container with the pharmacy label or in an unopened container for over the counter medication.

NO MEDICATION WILL BE DISPENSED WITOUT THIS SIGNED FROM.

However, parents/guardians may come to school and give the medication to their child.  Also, medication orders must be renewed at the beginning of each school year.
